Her hard-drinking father THOMAS wants to be supportive, but the family’s dysfunction is sending her over the edge. To find a way forward, she must uncover the past. In the tradition of Ordinary People and Prince of Tides, this story is a journey of hope, healing, and redemption.

DUANE ADLER
Duane Adler grew up all over the Carolinas and the Washington, D.C. area. After attending eighteen schools from first grade through high school, he graduated from the University of Maryland, (College Park) with a degree in what he calls “Diverse Extremes of Life”. Duane’s assorted background has lent an incredible multiplicity to his life and his work. As a writer/director it has honed his ear and sensibility for both urban dialogue and the flavor of rural America.

Duane’s screenwriting credits include SAVE THE LAST DANCE (Paramount, Julia Stiles), VH1’s highest rated original telefilm, THE WAY SHE MOVES, and STEP UP (Touchstone/Summit, Channing Tatum, Jenna Dewan). His music drama MAKE IT HAPPEN is currently in post-production for The Weinstein Company. He has also written projects for Universal, Revolution, Miramax, Focus Features, Fox, and New Regency.

Duane's reputation as one of the industry's top writers of edgy, music driven drama also transfers to his work behind the camera. Hungry Yak Productions film, GOD'S WAITING LIST was a festival hit that marked Duane's feature directorial debut. He is attached to direct the self-penned dramatic features, UNTIL THE RAINS and A SORT OF HOMECOMING, the latter which has Grammy-Award winning and multi-platinum artist Joss Stone attached.
